Interesting Facts
Carignano grapes are hand-harvested in late September in the areas of Sant'Anna Arresi, Is Solinas, and San Giovanni Su Ergiu. The vineyards, with their cordon system, are located at a low altitude of 30 meters above sea level and have a west-east exposure. The local soil is loam mixed with sand and shells formed from shale and basalt remnants, with high levels of calcium, magnesium, manganese, and iron. Maceration lasts approximately 14 days with constant pumping. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, where the wine is aged for eight months before bottling.
