Interesting Facts
Mukuzani Duruji Veli is produced in the Duruji Valley in the Mukuzani microzone, where high quality wines are traditionally produced. This is facilitated by carbonate soils and the special microclimate that dominates in this zone. The average age of the vines reaches 25 years. The harvest is harvested by hand at the end of September, when the berries reach optimal ripeness and a high level of extraction, which is an important indicator for this particular wine. Traditional fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in Caucasian oak barrels for 1-2 years.
