Interesting Facts
"Pietra Marina" is one of the best white wines in the region of Etna. It is produced from the Carricante grape variety, which is especially carefully cultivated on the eastern side of Etna volcano in the municipality of Milo. Carricante is a local Sicilian variety, which is grown at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level on sandy, slightly acid volcanic soils rich in minerals. The age of Carrikante vines belonging to the Benanti is 80 years. "Pietramarina" has a very good storage potential and is able to develop in bottles for many years, maintaining its excellent organoleptic characteristics.
