Interesting Facts
Pietradolce Etna Rosso is produced exclusively from Nerello Mascalese grapes, grown at an altitude of 700 to 800 meters above sea level on the northern slope of Mount Etna, in Solicchiate. The soil is sandy loam, with abundant volcanic rock. The grapes are hand-harvested in the first half of October. Maceration lasts 18 days, followed by three months of aging in oak barrels.
