Barahonda Rosado Organic, Yecla DO
Interesting Facts
Barahonda Organic Rose Wine is made from Monastrell and Syrah grapes. The vineyards grow at an altitude of 400-800 m above sea level, they are located in the northeast of the Murcia region, in the Altiplano region, in the transition zone between the plateau and the Mediterranean Sea. The soils consist of clay, limestone and sand, poor in organic matter, and well drained. The climate here is continental, temperatures range from -6 °C in winter to +40 °C in summer. Each variety is fermented separately after gentle pressing and static settling. Fermentation takes place at a strictly controlled temperature of 16 ºC in stainless steel tanks. Aging on lees is carried out in the same containers. Before release, the wine is aged in bottles for at least 3 months.
