Dense, rich, thick taste of wine is filled with juicy tones of ripe black fruits and berries, complemented by nuances of spices and oak. The rounded structure of the wine forms a persistent aftertaste due to powerful tannins and balanced acidity.
Aroma:
The multifaceted aroma of the wine reveals notes of blackberry, anise, vanilla and oak, slightly earthy and dusty nuances.
Gastronomy:
The wine will make an excellent pair with dishes of meat, game and aged sheep's cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Luis Pato, Quinta do Moinho, Beiras DOC - dry red wine from Baga grapes grown on the calcareous-clay soils of a vineyard measuring 7.8 hectares. After harvest, the grapes are carefully crushed and vinified for two weeks at a controlled fermentation temperature. Then the wine is aged in Allier oak barrels for 12 months and at least 10 years in bottles.
