Interesting Facts

Port Kalem has been produced from grapes of optimum maturity for 30 years. Grape must is subjected to prolonged fermentation with constant filling (stirring). This occurs in vats (lagars) at a controlled temperature (between 28-30 ° C) until the desired degree of sweetness (baumé) is reached. At this point, grape brandy is added to create a fortified wine. All wines used in this blend are aged for a certain time in oak, the average aging time is 30 years.
