Colet is a small family winery located in Penedès, between Barcelona and Tarragona, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. From the very beginning, the winery gave preference to the production of sparkling wines, as local grape varieties allowed to make a bright, fresh and incredibly interesting sparkling wine. Only 24 hectares belongs to the winery, and the first harvest from which the wine was produced was harvested in 1987.
The wines are produced under the name Classic Penedès. This means:
- traditional methode
- grapes from the vineyards of the Penedès appellation
- 100% organic vineyards
- sparkling wines of the Reserva category (at least 15 months of aging on the lees)
- the date of disgorgement is indicated on the bottle
- the bottle indicates vintage
The wines of the estate are produced in the categories Brut and Extra Brut.
