Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron is made from grapes grown mostly on the estate's historic terroir. This wine is powerful, tannic, elegant and powerful at the same time. A wine with an unusually long taste and incredible aging potential. Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron's new life began after 1987, when the castle was acquired by the insurance company AXA, which also owns Chateau Suduiro, Petit Village and Chateau Pibran. The new owners completely restored the castle itself and invited Jean-Michel Caz from Chateau Lynch-Bages to supervise the production process and the condition of the vineyards. Enormous funds were invested in the construction of a modern wine cellar and a new bottling line. Jean-Michel Caz did a lot to ensure that the quality of the wines produced became much higher.
