In 1894, Pasquale Vena from the small village of Pisticci in Basilicata created a secret bitter recipe. In 1900, the company Pasquale Vienna became the official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy. Due to the Second World War, production was stopped. In 1950, it was resumed thanks to the sons of the founder Pasquale Vienna, Giuseppe and Leonardo. Today, the founder's grandson Pasquale Vena, his wife Rosestella and their children Leonardo, Francesco and Letizia continue the family business.
