Roc de Cambes

Located in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, Roc de Cambes is owned by François Mitjavile, who also owns Château Tertre-Roteboeuf in Saint-Émilion. François purchased the estate in late 1987 and named the new winery Château Roc de Cambes; the name was later shortened to simply Roc de Cambes in 1994. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of limestone and clay soils, similar to those found in Saint-Émilion. The vines are old, with many approaching or even exceeding the impressive age of 50 years. Grapes from these vines are used to produce the estate's eponymous wine, Roc de Cambes, which is renowned for its concentration, character, and complexity.
