Domaine Laurent Mouton
Domaine Laurent Mouton is a family-owned estate in Givry, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, with a history spanning four generations. The Domaine's current stage is shaped by Laurent Mouton, who joined the family estate in 2002. Today, the estate covers 12 hectares of vineyards in the Bourgogne, Givry, and Givry 1st Cru appellations; the estate emphasizes precision vineyard management, yield limitation, and manual harvesting and sorting.
The Domaine Laurent Mouton portfolio features both red and white wines, with a particular focus on Givry and its Premier Crus—Clos Charlé, Clos Jus, La Grande Berge, and Les Grands Prétans. Vinification is based on a combination of tradition and moderate technological precision: Pinot Noir is completely destemmed and aged for about 12 months in barrels, while Chardonnay is fermented in steel and 400-liter barrels, followed by aging on fine lees.
