Rogue Vine

Rogue Vine is a small, independent winery located in the Itata Valley in southern Chile. Founded in 2011 by winemaker Leonardo Erazo Lynch and his partner, Justin Decker, the project sought to preserve the old vineyards of the Itata region and create wines that best reflect the character of the local terroir. Today, Rogue Vine is considered one of the leading representatives of a new generation of Chilean winemakers who emphasize authenticity, sustainable farming, and minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
The winery's core assets are old bush vines, ranging from 60 to over 100 years old, grown in the hilly areas of the Nipas and Guarilihue subregions of the Itata Valley. The vineyards are cultivated using traditional methods—by hand and with horses—and the soils are composed primarily of decomposed granite with admixtures of clay and quartz. These conditions produce wines with vibrant minerality, fresh acidity, and a distinct regional character.
