Interesting Facts
For winemaker Fabio Motta, this wine is a tribute to one of the "pioneers" of winemaking in Bolgheri, who knew almost all the secrets of the Sangiovese variety - Michele Satta (Lo Scudiere - from Italian "squire"). The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and immediately sent to the winery. Fermentation of the wine takes place in large oak vats (1/4 of the berries are fermented with the stems. Maceration on the skins lasts about a month. Wine aging takes place in old French oak barriques.
