Laurus (Laurel in Latin) is a Roman symbol of excellence. Excellence is above all in the local terroir: the grapes are grown on plots that the Maiffre family has chosen for their ability to express the best of each vineyard. The age of the Grenache vines is over 80 years. Hand harvested, carefully pressed. After fermentation, 60% of the wine was aged in oak barrels for 17 months.
