Interesting Facts
The small village of Chambol-Musigny is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, between Vougeot and Moret-Saint-Denis. Its name comes from the name of the ancient Celtic village "Kambola". Pinot Noir is planted exclusively in this small area, which is one of the jewels of the Côte d'Or and part of Burgundy's viticultural heritage. The amount of clay in the soil is inferior to other villages, which explains some of the “femininity” that is often referred to when talking about Chamboulle wines. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.
