André Clouet

Jean-François Clouet, born and raised in Bouzy, still lives in the 18th century country house built by his ancestors. Since the Clouet family was the supplier of the royal palace in Versailles, Jean-Francois is very proud to continue the work of his family, which had a huge impact on the development of winemaking in Champagne.

Realizing the significance of his position, Jean-Francois strives to constantly improve the quality of wine, relying on vast experience, as well as introducing his own changes. Domains of 8 hectares (20 acres) with Grand Cru vineyards are located on the best slopes of Ambonnet and Bouzy. The estate produces a wide range of wines, including the most famous Champagne Cuvée 1911, consisting of 100% Pinot Noir from the top ten Clouet vintages in Bouzy. Production of each subsequent release is limited to 1911 bottles
