The Gorka Izagirre family project was created to revive the former glory of Biscay winemakers, revealing to the world amazing, surprisingly gastronomic wines from local, indigenous grape varieties. Since 2005, Gorka Izaguirre, along with his oenologist son, José Ramon Calvo, nephew, Bertolo, and renowned chef, Eneko Atsa, have run a family business that includes a distillery, a modern 3-Michelin-starred restaurant and a chain of bistros.
