Artemis Karamolegos Winery was founded in 2003 in Exo Gonia, Santorini. The Artemis family cultivates grapes on the island and produces wine from their own grapes. The first cuvée - Pyritis - was released in 2015, and already in 2017 the estate introduced a line of wines from individual vineyards and orange wines.
The philosophy of Artemis is simple: great respect and love for the vineyard; long-standing, mutually respectful relations with the winemakers of the region; expression of the best qualities of Assyrtiko; constant experimentation and innovation at the winery.
The terroir of the region is located on volcanic soils free from phylloxera. The average age of the vines is over 80 years. Variety Assyrtiko occupies about 75% of plantings and is the main "star" of the estate
