The spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia founded the city of Santiago in 1541. He brought with him a grapevine which gave rise to the first wine of the fertile valley of Santiago del Nuevo Extremo. Santiago 1541 pays homage to this date and to the founders of Chile’s winemaking tradition.
