Taste:

On the palate, the tannins are round and soft, leaving a long and pleasant aftertaste with fruity notes. An incredibly elegant wine that slowly and gradually opens up in the glass.

Aromas of wild forest fruits, licorice, spice, clove, pepper, balsamic and roasted coffee.

Gastronomy:

The wine pairs perfectly with Iberian ham, red meat and game.

Interesting Facts

The grapes destined for Imperial Reserva come from the company’s own vineyards in Villalba, Briones and Torremontalbo. The grapes are hand-picked into boxes with a maximum capacity of 300 kg. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are further selected on a sorting table, after which they are transferred to large oak vats of varying capacities: 80, 120 and 160 hl, depending on the size of each parcel. A new winemaking room was opened for this vintage, with small fermentation tanks made of stainless steel and concrete. After fermentation, the wine is aged for two years in new French, American and second-passage barrels. After 24 months, the final version of Imperial is assembled. The wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months in bottles in the estate’s century-old cellars before being released.
