Taste:
Peat dominates the whiskey flavor, but does not overpower the finer shades of brown sugar, cereal flakes, caramel, molten marshmallow, and herbs. The finish shows the final notes of smoke, spices, woods and red berries.
Aroma:
Intuitive notes of peat, smoke and sea breeze begin at the beginning of the whiskey aroma, turning into tones of ripe apricots, pineapple jam, toasted almonds and damp earth.
Gastronomy:
Whiskey is an excellent digestif.
Interesting Facts
"Spey" Fumare is an amazing whiskey from the southernmost part of Speyside, first released to the market in 2016. It was made from peeled malted barley and was not filtered before bottling. It got its name "Fumare" from the Latin word "smoky", which indicates its nature. Intense and powerful taste full of charcoal, peat, peanut and caramel notes. The whiskey was released in only 18,000 bottles and is considered quite rare.
