Korushka
Interesting Facts
Smelt is the main fish of St. Petersburg, its real symbol. Peter I was delighted with the taste of smelt to such an extent that in 1708, according to the tsar's decree, the people first celebrated the smelt holiday. Fish saved thousands of people from hunger several times, especially in post-revolutionary times and during the blockade of Leningrad. An interesting fact: only St. Petersburg smelt has the aroma of fresh cucumber, which is due to the change in the fish habitat - salt water to fresh water. To create Korushka vodka, the manufacturer uses pure water from natural sources, high-purity alcohol "Alpha", sugar syrup, flavored seed alcohol dill and caraway seeds. Before bottling, vodka is passed through a silver filter. A bottle of Koryushka vodka features a painting by Anatoly Belkin, an artist from St. Petersburg.
